Pitter-patter welcome back
Just how quick the season passed?
Switched from summer just so fast
Cat and cuddle’s now the task
Pitter-patter in my roof
As I sip my chock’late soup
Stomach churns for jam and loaf
Trapped inside like bird in coop
Pitter-patter I’m grateful
You brought home all our member
Crouched together all downstair
While they play a solitaire
Pitter-patter, my old friend
Always joining my lament
Healing droplets pour no end
Drizzling me until I mend
Oh, how quick the season passed?
Cat and cuddle’s now the task
Sunny’s over just so fast
Pitter-patter welcome back!
